This Privacy Policy explains what data LightDeck collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. We try to keep this human-readable.
Account data: When you sign in with Google, we receive your email address and basic profile info (name, profile picture URL). We use this to identify your account and personalize the app.
Business data: Information you enter into LightDeck — your company name, phone, email, address, brand, pricing, customer records, proposals, photos, and uploaded PDFs. This is your data; we host it so the app can function.
Usage data: Basic events about how the app is used (proposals created, exports generated, errors) so we can improve the service. We don't track you across the internet.
Billing data: Stripe processes payments. We don't store your full credit card number. We do store a Stripe customer ID, subscription ID, and metadata about your subscription status.
Cookies: We use session cookies and localStorage to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. No third-party advertising cookies.

We use a small number of trusted service providers to operate LightDeck. They only get the data they need:
When you create a proposal in LightDeck, you enter your customer's name, address, contact info, and other details. That data is stored under your account and only visible to you (and any team members you invite). We treat it as your business data, not ours. You are the data controller for your customer records; we are the data processor.
We keep your account data as long as your account is active. After you cancel, we keep data for 30 days to allow for export or reactivation, then permanently delete it. You can request earlier deletion by contacting us.
We follow industry-standard practices: encrypted connections (HTTPS everywhere), encrypted database at rest, scoped API credentials, and limited admin access. No system is perfectly secure — if we ever experience a data breach affecting your account, we'll notify you promptly.

LightDeck is a B2B tool for licensed contractors. It is not intended for use by anyone under 18. We don't knowingly collect data from minors.
LightDeck is operated from the United States. If you access the service from outside the US, your data is transferred to and processed in the US. By using LightDeck you consent to that transfer.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-app notice.
