This notice is for you, the customer, when a contractor sends you a LightDeck proposal, estimate, invoice, or design preview. It is not the contractor agreement and it is not the contractor-facing Terms. Those govern the contractor's use of LightDeck. This page tells you what LightDeck itself holds about you and how to ask us about it.
Your contract is with your contractor, not with LightDeck. LightDeck is the software your contractor uses to build and send the document. Price, scope, schedule, warranty, and cancellation are between you and them. Read those terms in the proposal itself.
We do not sell this data, we do not use it to advertise to you, and we do not share it with other contractors on LightDeck.
Your contractor decides what to collect about you and why. LightDeck processes it for them and uses a small number of service providers to do that:
A signed proposal is a business record, so your contractor keeps it while it is needed for the job, for warranty and tax purposes, and for any dispute. We keep it for as long as your contractor's account holds it, and in routine backups after that. We do not promise an automatic fixed deletion window, because what can be removed depends on the record type, legal obligations, and backup schedules. We will tell you what applies to your request.
Start with your contractor, since the records are theirs and they can act on them directly. You can also email us at hello@lightdeck.tech and we will pass the request to the contractor who sent you the document, help them carry it out, and tell you what applies. Include the link you were sent so we can find the right record. We may need to verify who you are before acting.
If you want your property photos left out of the contractor's marketing, tell them in writing. When their proposal includes a photography and media release, the proposal carries a checkbox for exactly that, and your choice is recorded with your signature and shown to them.
Depending on where you live, state law may give you additional rights over your personal information. Email us and we will route the request.
The pages your contractor sends you carry no advertising trackers and no third-party analytics. The page records that the link was opened, so your contractor knows their document reached you.

Our contractor-facing documents are the Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy. If this page or the document you were sent is hard to read or to sign, the Accessibility statement explains how to get a paper copy and sign another way.
